The House

Le Petit Bastide is a charming Provençal villa where classic South French architecture meets modern comfort – just a short walk from the heart of Lorgues.

The house is peacefully situated in a quiet area, surrounded by greenery and typical Provençal vegetation. At the same time, it is only about 450 metres to the centre of Lorgues, so you can easily walk to restaurants, bakeries, wine bars and the lively market square.

The classic bastide is built in traditional Provençal style with terracotta roof, light façades and blue shutters, giving an authentic feel of the South of France. Large windows and French doors let in plenty of light and provide direct access to the garden and outdoor areas.

Bedrooms

The house has four bedrooms, three of which have en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, and all bathrooms were upgraded in 2025.

Master bedroom

The master bedroom is located on the ground floor and has direct access to the terrace and pool area. The room is furnished in an elegant Provençal style with a large and comfortable double bed that provides the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. The bedroom has its own spacious bathroom with double vanity and large shower, furnished in a style that harmonises with the rest of the house. All cabinets and storage solutions are supplied by Napoleon, providing both high quality and good functionality.

The property is located approximately 450 metres from the centre of Lorgues, so you can walk to the market, bakeries, restaurants and shops without using a car. The plot is fenced with a gate to the courtyard, and there is parking on the property.

The entire property was restored in 2021 with a new pool (10×5 metres) and automatic irrigation. In 2024 a new outdoor kitchen was built in French rustic country style with grill and all facilities, plus a pétanque court and cosy seating areas.

Lorgues and the surrounding area – Le Petit Bastide

Lorgues is the perfect base for experiencing Provence – with vineyards, medieval villages, trips to the Riviera and Gorges du Verdon within comfortable driving distance.

Lorgues er en sjarmerende landsby som lever hele året. Dette er et fantastisk område for vin og matelskere som ønsker å nyte det gode liv. I landsbyen finnes det mange hyggelige (og meget gode) restauranter. Flere bakerier, slaktere, fiskebutikk og supermarked. Ellers finnes alt av servicetilbud i landsbyen. Det er også flere Michelin-restauranter i området; Chez Bruno og Château Berne er vel verdt et besøk.

Hver tirsdag er det marked i Lorgues, og dette anbefales. Lorgues er en middelalderby – grunnlagt av tempelridderne ca. i år 1100 – og ligger midt i hjertet av Provence. Byen har fremdeles spor av de opprinnelige bygningene. Tar du en rusletur i gamlebyen finnes det rundt 20 mulige stoppesteder hvor du kan se borger, bygninger og gamle monumenter helt tilbake fra 1100-tallet.

Området omkring er typisk provencalsk med utallige vingårder som alltid er åpne for vinsmaking. Ønsker dere en tur på stranden, tar det kun ca. 40 minutter å kjøre ned til rivieraen og Sainte-Maxime. Derfra er det rundt 13 km å kjøre til Saint-Tropez, eller du kan ta ferjen over til Saint-Tropez som kun tar 15 minutter.

Kun 24 km fra huset ligger en av Frankrikes beste golfbaner, Saint Endréol Golf. Vi anbefaler å leie bil slik at man kan oppleve hele regionen og enkelt komme seg fra landsby til landsby. Anbefalte nærliggende steder er Cotignac, Flayosc, Tourtour og Aups, som alle ligger få minutters kjøring unna. Vi anbefaler også en tur til Gorges du Verdon (Grand Canyon du Verdon), ca. 45 minutter fra huset. Det vakre kulturlandskapet rundt Lorgues egner seg svært godt både for landeveissykling og terrengsykling.
